What I found most useful about this Thing was how much I could learn about the other devices without having one with me. I used the other videos and links to learn about the devices.
In our community, the library is the only place within 10 miles where there is free wifi and within 45 miles where you can ask questions about technology. We are often the first place people come to ask about their new tablets, phones, printers, etc. We do our best to answer those questions, but we always need more resources.
One tip we tell our patrons is to just "explore" the device to learn more about it. It is difficult to do something devastating to your device by exploring it. And we always show the patron how to get back to the "home screen" after they've been exploring.
